This Vanilla Bean Glaze is a perfect topping for cakes, pastries, or donuts. Made with just a few ingredients, you can elevate your baked goods with a rich, aromatic glaze that's as easy to make as it is delicious.
Simple Vanilla Bean Glaze
Ingredients
- ½ cup confectioners sugar (60g) , use powdered erythritol for the sugar free option
- 1 Tbsp milk of choice
- ¼ tsp vanilla bean paste , or ½ of a vanilla bean split and seeds scraped out
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, and 1 Tbsp of milk
- Stir the mixture until the powdered sugar is fully dissolved and the glaze has a smooth consistency.
- If the glaze is too thick for your liking, add a little more milk, a teaspoon at a time, and mix well until you reach the desired consistency.
- If the glaze is too thin and you prefer a thicker consistency, add more powdered sugar, a tablespoon at a time, and mix until you achieve the desired thickness.
- Add ¼ tsp of vanilla bean paste. If using a vanilla bean: split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds using the back of a knife. Add the vanilla bean seeds to the glaze and mix until well combined.
- Drizzle the prepared glaze over your favorite baked goods such as cakes, cupcakes, donuts, or cinnamon rolls. You can also use it to glaze cookies or muffins.
- Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes before serving.
- Enjoy!
