Simple Cinnamon Streusel Recipe
Enjoy the delightful and warm cinnamon flavor of this streusel that adds a delicious crunch and aroma to your treats!
Ingredients
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar , use dark brown sugar for darker color and light brown sugar for lighter color**
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 Tbsp light olive oil , or melted coconut oil
Instructions
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cinnamon powder and sugar.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the dry ingredients.
- Using a fork or your fingers, mix the ingredients together until they form a crumbly texture. The streusel should have small clumps that can easily be sprinkled over your baked goods.
- If the streusel seems too dry and doesn't hold together, add a bit more olive oil, a half-teaspoon at a time, until you achieve the desired crumbly consistency.
- On the other hand, if the streusel appears too wet and sticky, you can add a little more flour, a tablespoon at a time, until you get the right texture.
- Once the streusel has the perfect crumbly texture, it's ready to use.
- Sprinkle the streusel generously over muffins, coffee cakes, pies, or any other baked goods of your choice before baking.
Notes
**use granulated brown monk fruit sweetener for the sugar free option
