  • Microwave almond butter for 15-30 seconds until softened.
  • Sift and mix in powdered sugar in ¼ cup increments, or until the frosting texture is as desired. See notes**

Notes

*You can also use sugar-free confectioner’s sugar for a sugar-free, low-carb version.
**I’ve made this frosting a couple of times and the resulting texture is different depending on the almond butter, such as homemade vs store bought; drippy almond butter (with the almond oil) vs almond butter that doesn’t need to be stirred. You’ll have to adjust the amount of the powdered sugar by how thick or thin you want your frosting to be.
